TAGUIG CITY – The Philippine Science Heritage Center (PSHC), under the management of the National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) unveiled its new exhibit last July 3, 2019.
The futuristic exhibit shows the hologram-like projections of the 13 living National Scientists presenting their life and contributions to science and technology. PSHC also unveiled its new logo which symbolizes the brain and is considered an ideal representation for knowledge and wisdom. A new tagline “Be ExSciTech”, short for “Be Excited with Science and Technology”, was also announced. With this, we aim to attract more visitors from the youth sector.
The event was attended by DOST Secretary Fortunato dela Peña, NAST President Rhodora V. Azanza, National Scientists Ramon Barba, Lourdes Cruz, Edgardo Gomez, Ricardo Lantican, Dolores Ramirez and Gavino Trono, fellow Academicians, NSTW Ambassador Chris Tiu, and friends and guests of PSHC.
The Philippine Science Heritage Center is a science center mandated by Republic Act 9107 to be the repository of the achievements and outstanding accomplishments and contributions of the Filipino scientific community. It is located at the Science Heritage Building, DOST Complex, General Santos Ave. Bicutan Taguig City.
